My experience in Punta Arenas
Contrary to what I thought, I found a very welcoming city with unbelievable landscapes. The first thing we did was go to the cemetery, which I dare say is the most beautiful in Chile, and then visit the ZonAustral where things were supposed to be sold free of tax (we didn't catch anything). The next day we headed to a little known National Park, called Prque Nacional Pali Aike, where we found a lunar landscape formed by the volcanoes that are found there. We also toured Fuerte Bulnes and tried to reach the Faro San Isidro , the last on the continent, but without success. On the fourth day we went to see the penguins at 7 in the morning and on the trip we met very nice people from many parts of the world, we also saw dolphins and sea lions.
On the trip we met many animals that only inhabit that area of the country, we learned about the history of the Selknam and the genocide they suffered, about Sara Braun and the rumors about her, we ate the famous "choriquesos" with bananas and milk from the Kiosco Roca and we challenge the Magellanic wind.
I never gone so far, to the south I know until Puerto Montt and to the north until Punta de Choros in La Serena
